For the last month I have been trying to settle into my new job, new place. I am working for Kingsburg Covenant Church as the Children Ministry and Youth intern. If you are scratching your head and saying, “Where the heck is Kingsburg?!” Kingsburg is a little town on the 99, about 20 minutes south of Fresno, CA. It is a small farming town of 12,000 people with deep Swedish roots (I know, I went from a Swedish camp to a Swedish town, what can I say).
With my job, I have been doing a lot of reading of Christian literature, so much so I sometimes reference the wrong book. Likewise, I have been doing a bunch of writing in preparation for devotions and talks. I just finished giving my first talk to both the Jr High and Sr High. Both times nerve racking as heck. However, I am confident that giving talks with help develop my research and writing skills, which means that you readers will benefit.
Currently I am trying to polish up my talk outline to post here. It is on the topic of Service and was apart of a bigger series called “Just Do It.”
Bear with me as I am starting a new season of life.
